The Clinical Research Regulatory Council (CRRC) has the pleasure to welcome you all to this newly designed website which marks a new milestone in the strategic intent of the Council to increase its visibility both locally and globally. I hereby acknowledge the involvement in this website project of the following stakeholders, the Ethics Committee (EC), the PharmacoVigilance Committee (PVC), the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MoHW), the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Government Online Centre (GOC).

The newly-designed logo of the CRRC, as shown above, reflects the mission statement of the Council as a regulatory body in Mauritius, with the pictorial shape of our island and the tick symbol as approval. 

Indeed, the vision, mission and values of the CRRC are as follows:
          Vision: Mauritius as a research hub with international best practices in the conduct of clinical trials.                                   
          Mission: To ensure that clinical trials undertaken in Mauritius comply with international scientific standards and ethical values, as well as local community              customs.
          Values: Communication, Respect, Rigour, Commitment.

The CRRC website will upscale the visibility of the CRRC, as a regulatory body, in line with the Government vision to develop Mauritius as clinical research hub.  The CRRC will pursue its quest for excellence in the provision of regulatory services: The next phase will thus consist of the development of online application for clinical trial licences in consultation with the Contract Research Organizations.

On a final note, the CRRC is thankful to the EDB for the initial development of the CRRC website and to the GOC for its subsequent development with hosting services. I am grateful to each and every one at the MoHW and CRRC-EC-PVC for their valuable input and significant contribution to making the CRRC website become a reality.
